Continuing our celebration of the 80th Anniversary of VE Day, join us as we welcome back the Two Lucys of History Wardrobe to entertain us with a hilarious presentation of 'Housewife at War'. Doing dishes and dodging doodlebugs...what was everyday life like for women of World War Two? In 'Housewife at War' the Two Lucys journey back to the forties. They discover what their grandmothers were up to, from home-baking and tea-making, to war work in uniform. This fascinating new History Wardrobe presentation features fabulous fashions, from Utility clothes to the New Look. But behind the aprons and rank badges, and after VE Day celebrations, there are secrets to uncover and mysteries to solve...
10:30am Arrive for coffee/tea in the Drawing Room.
11:00am The Two Lucys present 'Housewife at War' in the Barlow Room
12:30pm Return to main house for a glass of bubbly followed by a delicious three-course luncheon with wine, and coffee or tea and fudge to finish.
