A Traditional Christmas with Style

Enjoy a traditional Christmas in the setting of this elegant William and Mary country house with its open fireplaces and carolers. Middlethorpe Hall stands in its own grounds on the outskirts of the historic City of York, and this house party break allows plenty of time to explore the countryside, relax in the Spa or in a quiet corner of the hotel.

On Christmas Eve:

• Buffet of afternoon tea delicacies will be available from 3:30pm in the Drawing Room;
• At 7:30pm, the house party starts with a Champagne and canapés reception with Carols sung by a local choir;
• From 8:15pm, a three-course dinner will b e served in the dining rooms;
• You may wish to attend midnight mass in St Andrew's Parish Church or at York Minster;
• You will be welcomed with port and mince pies upon your return.

On Christmas Day:

• Full Yorkshire breakfast served in the dining rooms;
• Bucks-Fizz reception followed by our traditional four-course luncheon from 12:30pm;
• The King's speech will be shown in the Drawing Room with tea, coffee and mince pies;
• A light buffet supper will be served from 7:30pm.

On Boxing Day:

• Full Yorkshire breakfast served in the dining rooms;
• There will be a Champagne reception in the evening followed by a four-course black-tie gala dinner accompanied by Jazz tunes;
• Fun Casino evening.

• Use of Middlethorpe Spa (special opening hours apply);

A complimentary bottle of Champagne for guests staying 4 nights or more.

TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR CHRISTMAS BOOKINGS

A separate bill for extras such as additional dinner course, bar drinks, wine and telephone calls will be presented on departure. Written confirmation and a deposit of 50% of the booking is required to secure a reservation. Deposits cannot be refunded for accommodation cancelled after 1st November 2024, and a full charge is liable to be made for cancellation after 1st December 2024. We would advise insurance against loss of deposit due to illness.
